Your instructor picks you up from your door anywhere in SW12, or from a meeting point that suits you — Balham Underground and railway station is a common one. The lesson clock starts when you get in the car, not when we set off.

Balham sits between Clapham to the north and Tooting to the south, in the London Borough of Wandsworth, built around the long run of Balham High Road. It is largely Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing with pockets of 1930s mansion blocks, of which Du Cane Court is the best known.
