What You Can Give
A gift driving lesson is an ordinary lesson that someone else has paid for. The learner gets the same one-to-one tuition, the same dual-control car and the same door-to-door pickup as anyone booking for themselves.
A First Driving Lesson
One 2-hour lesson. Enough time to cover the controls, move off, steer and stop on quiet roads, and for the learner to find out whether they prefer manual or automatic. A good present for a 17th birthday.
A 10-Hour Block
Five 2-hour lessons, usable on any day at any time. This is a proper start: by the end of ten hours most learners are driving in real traffic and know how far they are from test standard.

Who a Gift Driving Lesson Suits
A 17th birthday
The first lesson is the one people remember. Giving it means they start as soon as their provisional licence allows.
Christmas or exam results
A 10-hour block turns good intentions into a booked start date.
A nervous beginner
Someone who keeps putting it off often just needs the first lesson arranged for them.
A driver who has lost confidence
A 2-hour refresher for a partner or parent who holds a licence but avoids driving in London.
What the Learner Needs Before the Lesson
A provisional driving licence
It can be applied for from 15 years and 9 months old. Without it the lesson cannot legally go ahead.
To be 17 or over
The minimum age to drive a car on a provisional licence.
Eyesight that meets the standard
They must be able to read a number plate from 20 metres, with glasses or contact lenses if they wear them.
